Scientists Solve 10-year Hydrogen Mystery
Friday, February 29, 2008
"A new solution to a decade-old chemical mystery could lead to commercially practical storage solutions for hydrogen vehicles, researchers say. [Researchers] finally figured out just how titanium acts as a catalyst, reacting with metal hydrides that can store hydrogen and release it in gas form when heated. "This method and this knowledge can now be used to analyze other materials that would make for better storage systems than sodium alanate"." More
