Ford Turns to Nanotechnology for Hydrogen Cars

"Ford Motor Co., Boeing and Northwestern University announced an alliance Thursday to research commercial applications of nanotechnology, a move that could spur the development of hydrogen-powered cars. Nanotechnology, the "small science" that involves manipulating individual molecules, should help automakers create batteries for hybrid vehicles that produce more energy while weighing less and taking up less space."
