"Coal/oil company mergers could help both industries. Petroleum firms would offer their distribution channels, while losses in gasoline profits could be offset by more usage of and increased profit generating from the use of hydrogen fuel. "Although these types of mergers may not be immediately around the corner, nor in the near-term viewed as fully practical, they may likely occur in the medium-term if hydrogen gains market share.""
