Hybrid Gasoline-Hydrogen-Biodiesel-Sugarcane Engine
Wednesday, August 31, 2005
"The engine developed by the Hydrogen Engine Center can run on gas or hydrogen. The Hydrogen Engine Center uses a truck to demonstrate the benefits of hydrogen. With the flip of a switch, the truck can go from running on six cylinders to three, so it uses less fuel. The engines are designed to run on more than just hydrogen. "We have a unit that's going to be running on biodiesel where they're going to reform it and take the hydrogen out. We have a unit that's going to Brazil that's going to be run on sugarcane," Hollinger said." Source: The Iowa Channel via mixedpower.com
