GM, Honda and BMW Form Joint Venture Hydrogen Fuelling Technology

"Honda, General Motors and BMW have agreed to jointly develop technologies for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and hydrogen-powered engines, under the banner of an LH (Liquid Hydrogen) Consortium, the Yomiuri Shimbun reported on 4 August. During the initial stage of the joint venture, the three companies will jointly research and develop the technologies required to safely supply extremely low-temperature liquid hydrogen to vehicles through common-standard coupling mechanisms to reduce development and potentially, manufacturing costs. The three firms aim to standardize fuel nozzles, filler necks and other related components to establish a safe hydrogen supply system. Honda has emphasised that the joint venture agreement does not extend to any planned joint manufacture of fuel cell vehicles." Source: autoindustry.co.uk
