Hydrogen and Diesel Combustion Engine

"Tasmanian researchers say they have revolutionised energy production with the invention of an internal combustion engine that runs on a combination of hydrogen and diesel. The engine, believed to be a world first, can be attached to existing generators and will enable remote communities worldwide to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels. Associate Professor Vishy Karri, who unveiled the engine at the University of Tasmania on Friday, said it was a significant step in environmental protection. The engine would serve as a transitional step until the mainstream introduction of 100 per cent hydrogen engines, he said." Source: theage.com
